I just finished an online Children's Book Illustration course by
Mark Mitchell. It was a very good refresher and I learned many
valuable points. I believe the more we learn and practice, the better
artists we will be. So this is my first illustration after the course and I would be interested in what you think.
This is my interpretation of the old Owl and Pussy Cat children's tale.
I have done this in watercolor and finished with digital imaging.

ReplyDeleteYour "The Owl and the Pussy Cat" sure looks fun for the Owl and Pussycat, with their paddle and guitar, and the tag along birds. Great retreat cabin in the background. Like the rainstreaks with a red heart, eyelashes on the sun and the vivid rainbow. Everyone looks like their having a great time.
The umbrella and the binoculars add a special touch to the birds. Fun.
