Welcome If you happened upon my blog, welcome and I hope you will continue to drop by to see anything I have added. I have my artwork displayed in several locations, Etsy , Imagekind, Facebook, and Fine Art America. What I would like to accomplish with this new blog is to help artists be seen on the web and that includes myself. It is such a daunting task to get yourself out there because there are so many of us trying to accomplish the same thing. We love to create and gain so much satisfaction when people appreciate our work enough to actually spend money on it. I get very upset when I go on forums and some who have only been around for a short time act as though they have it all figured out and criticize those of us that get frustrated. So please, keep creating and tell me how you feel about this marketing situation and what has worked for you. Thanks, Pat

I added a new painting to my Etsy shop today.  I was inspired by two photos I had taken of sunflowers.
I am presently work on a series of original acrylic and oil paintings that I can sell for $50 which I think
more people can afford these days.  I am inspired most by the beauty of flowers, what inspires you?

MONDAY

Yes, it's Monday and time to get painting, etc. When I was at Barnes & Noble the other day, I picked up a new magazine called, "Artful Blogging." First, I must say,
when did magazines get so expensive, $15.99, wow, I thought this was a recession.
I had to buy it though because, one, I was creating a blog and two, it's so beautifully
done. The cover alone with it's red and gold grabs your eye. There are many examples inside of beautifully created blogs and fun artwork. I really recommend this magazine
even if you aren't blogging but just to feast your eyes.

Another thing I would like to do with this blog is to point out other artists on Etsy in particular who do excellent work and need some exposure.  I found some beautiful artwork done by Reveille Kennedy at, oui2reveille. I purchased 4 of her greeting cards at a very reasonable cost but they are too pretty to mail so I will just keep them to inspire me. I hope you will take a look at her wonderful work at:
